EVERY BODY HAS A STORY

SECTIONED

2026

DIVIDED BODIES. SOULS IN MOTION.

SECTIONED turns division into a physical language. The body is separated, interrupted and exposed — but never erased.

A body can be divided without becoming incomplete.

SECTIONED begins with a physical act: the figure is interrupted.

A line crosses the body. Two parts remain visibly separated. What should create absence instead produces tension.

The cut becomes a space in which apparently incompatible conditions can coexist: attraction and rejection, certainty and doubt, masculine and feminine, strength and fragility, desire and resistance.

In BISE(X)TED, division destabilises the expectation that identity must resolve itself into a single direction.

In WHEN I'M SPLIT, separation becomes psychological as much as physical: the body remains recognisable while the distance inside it becomes impossible to ignore.

SECTIONED does not attempt to repair these contradictions.

It gives them form.

The works ask whether wholeness necessarily means unity and whether a body might become more truthful precisely at the moment in which its internal divisions are made visible.

The cut is not where the body ends. It is where another reading begins.
