WHEN I'M SPLIT treats separation as something intimate.
A geometric plane cuts across the kneeling body, creating a visible distance inside a figure that still remains recognisable as one. The interruption is physical, but the work reads psychologically: contradiction has been given volume.
Unlike a clean division between opposites, the sculpture preserves vulnerability. The body appears exposed to the force passing through it, yet it is not destroyed by that force.
WHEN I'M SPLIT does not promise resolution. It allows conflicting states to remain visible at the same time.
The split becomes less a failure of wholeness than an honest image of what it can feel like to contain more than one truth.
