WOODY reverses the body completely.
An acrobat balances upside down above a monumental heart, turning a circus gesture into an image about trust, vulnerability and love. The sculpture was inspired by Woody Fox and by the way his story on Canada's Got Talent placed emotion at the centre of performance, showing that courage can also mean allowing yourself to be seen.
The heart beneath the figure is not decoration. It is the unstable point on which everything depends. Standing upside down on it becomes a metaphor for opening yourself to another person, trusting what cannot be controlled and remaining visible while doing so.
WOODY treats vulnerability as strength. Love is not the weakness beneath the performance. It is the force that makes the performance possible.
