Omer only danced when he was alone.
A sentence from his father — “A man doesn't move like that” — stayed inside his body for years. He learned to correct his hands, his legs and even the way he walked.
At twenty-three, his name appeared on a poster. Backstage, he heard the music begin, stepped into the light and stopped correcting himself.
When the applause came, Omer understood that he had not become more of a man.
He had finally become himself.
Metamorphosis begins when you stop correcting who you are.
